We are offering the Industry Experience: Industry Placement course again in Winter 2022 for international students in Applied Business Analysis (ABA), Applied Business Management (ABM), and Applied Human Resource Management (AHRM).

Placements begin on Monday, March 14, 2022. Students are required to complete 175 working hours, within a 5- to 7- week timeframe, in a professional or paraprofessional role that could incorporate skills and knowledge acquired from our program packages and from previous experience. Placements must be completed remotely and are unpaid.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

The final deliverables will be agreed upon by the educator, student and partnering organization.

Students are required to complete 175 working hours, within a 5- to 7- week timeframe, in a professional or paraprofessional role that could incorporate skills and knowledge acquired from our program packages and from previous experience.

Project Examples

Our international students come from various backgrounds including medical, legal, finance, education, project management, health care and administration. In the past, students have filled work placement positions in finance (ranging from bookkeepers to financial analyst), in HR (ranging from HR generalists to policy developers) and as business analysts, project assistants, procurement and logistics officers, and administrative supports.

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Respond to an email with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope in an appropriate fit for the internship

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.
